United States
13.5 hours on an airplane, and I was finally in the good ol' USA. I've always liked the states, as the people there in my experience have a straightforwardness that is highly refreshing. It felt good to be going home after such a long trip!
The famous San Francisco Street Cars--though I had a bad experience on my first ride. I stepped off about half a second too soon, so the driver took it upon himself to not only judge my intellectual capabilities, but also my sanity. I was not impressed, but I'm sure it was an isolated incident.
The famous hills of San Fran, overlooking the Bay.
A Genuine WWII-era Submarine,
which is open to the public.
It was a very informative experience. Special thanks to the gentleman who was more then happy to share all his knowledge of subs below decks.
Yours Truly below decks.
I can't believe that kids, more or less, same age as me, were out sailing the seas risking life and limb in these conditions. My hat is off to all veterans, you boys did good.
The bridge--amazing piece of work.
After San Francisco, it was off to New York where I spent 3 days. Unfortunately, due to a PM misunderstanding, I didn't get a chance to meet up with any Gearheads, but New York is an amazing city which I hope to return to one day!
Ground Zero.
You cannot visit this place and not be moved. It is, in my mind, a testament to the amazing character of the American people. To have such a shock inflicted upon a country against defenseless victims...I cannot fathom how that must have felt. Yet, here is New York, still thriving, still getting on with life and doing it in style. Resilience, spirit, and all around an amazing place.

Other end of Times Square
And last but not least, the plane that took me home.
