Rome
I've been wanting to see Rome since...well, since forever more or less. And finally, I had the opportunity. I didn't get in until rather late, and literally stumbled upon the Yellow Hostel, which ended up being the NICEST hostel I've ever stayed at. The staff was great, the people were awesome, and we had a Toga party. Enough Said!
The Coliseum
(Actually, originally it was called the Flavian Amphitheater. It's called the Coliseum because of the Colossus statue of Nero that used to stand nearby)
Arch of Constantine
Some Gladiators and I swapping hats. The Fed seems to suit him, too!
Inside the Arena
Pretty high up there with the dumbest thing ever,
I went and rented a scooter.
Now, Roman traffic is something to be amazed by, but I survived to tell the tale (I've never ridden anything resembling a scooter save for my pedal bike back home, and even that not for 4 years). I don't even drive a car in Canada, yet I rented a scooter in Rome. So I went driving around with no destination in mind, and I found...
The Trevi Fountain!
It was kind of a cool thing to stumble across. This is, as the story goes, the first wishing well. Soldiers would throw a coin in the fountain to ensure their return to Rome.
St. Peter's Basilica.
Originally, I was bombing around the courtyard in my scooter, but then the cops came in their little golf carts threatening to arrest me. I decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to do what they asked, and settled for this shot instead.
The Pantheon - Amazing building!

I really enjoyed Rome, and it's definitely a place I'd like to go back to sometime. The people were great, and the city is amazing. In fact, I skipped Switzerland entirely to spend more time in Rome. Then, I was in for the most adventurous part of my trip: The middle East, first stop Egypt! Egypt Bound...
