A thief falls in love with a Princess and poses as one of her suitors. He is banished from the palace when discovered but joins in the quest to find the rarest treasure in this world or even beyond to win her hand.

Wonderful romantic fantasy with incredible special effects and sets for the time. Fairbanks' films have been unjustly neglected and this was by far the most ambitious and opulent of them, it also stands out as an enduring classic due to its driving imaginative storyline which always keeps the viewer interested.
