Starring John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson

Sheriff John Chance has to face hired guns with only the help of a drunken deputy and a cripple. Young Colorado gets involved by accident.

Not revolutionary but incredibly entertaining western which was Hawks' reaction to High Noon (1952) which both he and Wayne thought was unAmerican. In contrast in this film the hero gets some help even if it is provided by a drunk, a youngster (a talented gunslinger) and a cripple.
