An ex GI painter has romantic adventures in post war Paris.

A wonderful studio built Paris is the setting for this great film which uses the Gershwins' music wonderfully. Some have criticised the artiness of the final ballet but I love it. Other highlights include Kelly and Guetary singing S'Wonderful and Kelly's great routine with the Paris schoolchildren to I've Got  Rhythm.

Trivia - The Golden Age of Hollywood

The part of the French music hall star was orginally set for Maurice Chevalier but he refused to do it because he didn't get the girl.

Songs with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin include "By Strauss," "I've Got Rhythm,"
"I'll Build A Stairway To Paradise," "Our Love Is Here To Stay," and "S'Wonderful."
