The Essential Story of the Newest Fedora Chronicles Staff Member

Who am I? But more importantly, who are you?

John Fitzgerald Kennedy once said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” This quote sums up why I am writing here, and why I have taken on the responsibility of a staff member on this site. As much as I am here for me, I am here for you too. And not just those of you with views like mine. Everyone that sees this and reads this, I am writing for you. But honestly, I don’t know much about you. So the only way for me to get to know you better is to tell you a little bit about myself, and what my mission is for the Fedora Chronicles.

So who and what am I? I am someone who values integrity, loyalty, honor and respect. Therefore, I consider myself all of those, and I try my utmost to conduct myself in such a manner. I am also someone who values intelligence, and I also consider myself a highly intelligent person. I want to bring all of these qualities to the table here at the Fedora Chronicles.

I am an outdoorsman. I love the woods, and I spend a lot of my waking hours exploring them. Which brings me to what might be the most important facet of who I am. Possibly above all else, I am an explorer. An adventurer of sorts. Not a modern-day Indiana Jones, but rather a person who is not invincible, someone who is scared just like everyone else, but has the courage to stand up for what is right, and to do things that other people only dream about doing.

And finally, I am a writer. I write all the time, both fiction and nonfiction. I am the kind of person that has the ideas and hopefully has the talent to put them to paper. Which brings this circle back around to who you are: the reader of my writings. I can only say that I hope you enjoy them.

Finally, to close this short piece about me (You might note that I really don’t like talking about me all that much. I am much more interested in what you, the reader, has to say.), I must add that I am young. And with my youth, I want to bring a new look and a new feel and a new atmosphere to the Fedora Chronicles. I think that the common misperception of who we are at the FC is easily apparent. Unfortunately, we are not who we appear to be at face value. We are not stuffy old retrocentrics living in the past. We are not the kind of people that live in the past. And I want to make that apparent to everyone. Here at the Fedora Chronicles, we are not about the past. We are about the application of the past to meet the ends of everyday living. We do not live in the past or live for the past. We live in order to remember the past, and truly be the catalysts of history in the making.

That is my Chronicle. What’s yours?

See you round the forum…

Yours Sincerely,

-Andrew
