A masterpiece of Americana this musical
depiction of the turn of the century has often been imitated but never
equalled. The stylish set is complemented by the excellent ensemble
cast particularly Garland and O'Brien. The songs are memorable too and
perfectly integrated into the story. The result is a touching,
entertaining film.
