While hobbits Frodo and Sam embark on the final stage of their quest to destroy the all powerful ring, a climactic battle commences for the future of Middle Earth and Aragorn has to fulfil his destiny.

Wonderful fantasy film the most impressive ever made crowned director Peter Jackson superb trilogy of Tolkein's novels. It helps to explain the complicated plot and bring it to a satisfying conclusion. The director's skill is making us feel genuine emotion for the the various inhabitants of Middle Earth. Some have criticised the lengthy finale/s but I find it totally fitting and in the end very moving.

Trivia - The Golden Age of Hollywood

The first two films in the Trilogy were The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers.

"Such a crowning achievement, such a visionary use of all the tools of special effects, such a pure spectacle, that it can be enjoyed even by those who have not seen the first two films." from a review by Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times
