Pinocchio

A wooden boy has various adventures before being granted his wish to become a  real person.

Magical Disney animation, one of the greatest films ever done by the studio. The multi-plane camera adds great realism to the film and some of it is genuinely frightening such as the boys turning into donkeys at Pleasure Island and Geppetto and Pinocchio in the whale. A few catchy tunes are thrown in as a bonus ably sung by Cliff "Ukele Ike" Edwards who voices the memorable character of Jiminy Crickett (Pinocchio's conscience). When You Wish Upon A Star became a Disney anthem.

Trivia - The Golden Age of Hollywood

Songs include "When You Wish Upon A Star," "Give A Little Whistle," "An Actor's Life For Me," and "I've Got No Strings."

"A film of amazing detail and brilliant conception." Leonard Maltin
