The story of a love triangle that lasts for decades between two men and an impulsive woman.

A menage a trois with a difference in that everyone gets on so well in this movie despite the multiple twists and betrayals in the plot. It isn't surprising that Jules and Jim are intoxicated by Catherine as played by Jeanne Moreau. It is sure Truffaut is intoxicated by her too, freeze-framing on her lovely face at one point. The film is compelling stuff particularly from the arrival of World War I,the ending is incredible, the final images will stay with you.
