The Rocket is the defining factor of the whole thing. This is what tells everyone that you are a hero borne of flight.

The most glaring difference between the comic and film versions is the amount of rockets actually on the device. The film rocket has dual engines, while the comic rocket has one.

The only place to get a film style rocket is here…

Price-About $1,000 for a kit.

Keep in mind that these kits are EXTREMELY hard to finish and require a lot of man hours. The best one I’ve seen took the maker about a year to complete.

Mine was made for about $50 and was completely home-made by me in the style of the comics. I don’t really want to go into detail here. But if anyone wants their own Rocket or detailed instructions, shoot me an E-mail.

Bottom line, if you’re going to go for the movie Rocket, go big or go home. But if you want to stay smaller and true to the comics (and save some coin) you’re better off whipping one up yourself.
