So far a classic shows, my boys and I watch Rat Patrol, and The A-Team on Netflix. Also, we watch Gunsmoke and of course The Lone Ranger when we can.

Just watched some of AMC's (cable channel) The Walking Dead. Every time I watch it, I am reminded of how much network television, for the most part (99.842%), sucks. Also, BBC's Being Human...how is it that British programming is generally better in almost every way to American television? Not just BH...pick any 'comparable' show form the same genre and a majority of the time, the Union Jack waves supreme.

I have become a fan of Falling Skies. I got caught up on it before the new season and I love the show. Perhaps it is because it is a story of people overcoming the odds. I don't know. I have always liked NCIS, but I am starting to think the series has climaxed and needs something new, so long as Gibbs stays.

As of late it has bee Deadman Wonderland on Cartoon Network. An Anime series based on an ongoing Manga series. So far they've been pretty faithful to the Manga which is pretty rare.

Cheers!

Stormy Weather. An amazing picture for its time. An all black cast when most African American actors had only bit parts.

Lately, I have started watching Breaking Bad. With this, Mad Men, and The Walking Dead, I think AMC has all the best shows. Breaking Bad is definitely the most suspenseful show I've seen, you believe that they can be real people with those same problems.

BREAKING BAD and SONS OF ANARCHY are consistently the best dramas on TV right now. I love 'em because they remind me of THE SHIELD in that there is absolutely no way to predict what is going to happen in any given episode. No matter how you think it's going to turn out, it doesn't.

LOUIE is without a doubt the most unique comedy I've ever seen. It goes into some pretty dangerous waters and plenty of times I'm laughing at something I'm not sure I should be laughing at. Sharp, funny writing that probes into human nature in a way that one moment has me laughing hysterically and the next squirming uncomfortably in my seat.

I've seen the first episode of Breaking Bad and it was quite spectacular. I want to continue watching the series. Also, I love The Walking Dead and for a guilty pleasure, Once Upon a Time which is one of the only prime time shows I've come across that we can all watch as a family.

Glad to hear that there are other ONCE UPON A TIME fans. My friends keep nattering at me about GRIMM. I gave it three episodes, all of which bored me blind. But it's the show that seems to get the most attention which is a shame as ONCE UPON A TIME is far more fun, exciting, inventive and doesn't feel as if it were pieced together from half a dozen other shows. And for anybody who would like to catch up on it, it's currently available for Instant Streaming from Netflix.

Also, as I may have mentioned before, The BBC (original) version of Being Human is just ridiculous...in a very good way. As silly as the premise is; a ghost, werewolf and vampire living together, they make it work. It is indeed scary, gory and dramatic when it needs to be and like proper English television, the humor is peppered in to break the tension (or increase it) always at the right moment.

As for the American version of Being Human on SyFy, I gave it a chance. I admit, I wholly expected it to suck and be a stale representation of the BBC one. Although in some ways it was when the show started, it found a footing all its own and turned out pretty good. They took the basic premise and characters from the BBC version and made it original again. One of the rare times I have really enjoyed a SyFy ‘original’ show.

My family and I recently started watching Heroes and I'm enjoying it. I've been interested to see if (or should that be how) they're screwing up Oliver Queen on Arrow. Anyone watch it?

Nah. I have no interest in watching ARROW for the same reason I had no interest in watching SMALLVILLE. The CW appears to have this obsession with wanting to do superheroes shows with actually ever calling them superheroes or having them in costume. I don't see the point.

Last Resort.

For a show about a U.S. nuclear submarine going rogue...better than I expected, at least from network television.
Get it together? Lady, last time my people got it together it took most of Robert E. Lee's backyard to bury the evidence.

Watched LAST RESORT tonight. An exceptionally suspenseful and full-speed-ahead first episode. Kinda like what Tom Clancy would write if he was whacked out on Benzedrine and Coca-Cola.
I honestly don't see how they can carry this premise more than one season but I said the same thing about "Lost" so what do I know? I'm willing to break my Three Episode Rule and hang in there with LAST RESORT for a whole season because it's created by Shawn Ryan and he gave us "The Shield" so he gets my commitment.

Welp.

I'm going to keep watching Last Resort probably, but it's dangerously close to losing the goodwill it garnered with the pilot.
