Here's something more about The Sand People...

I am under the impression that The Sand People tied up Anikin's mother in that postilion and left her there for days. They "Reverse Crucified" her on what looks like a wooden pentagram. What was she doing there all that time?

Starving?

Dying of thirst?

Being "converted" to a "Sandwoman?"

Try this on for size, she was getting gang raped by the Sand People. All the men in that village were taking turns giving it to Shimi Skywalker.

Either way, that's some pretty dark bunk. If it was more clear to us that's what happened to her, then we would actually be cheering as Ani kills the entire village of Sandpeople. If Luca$ worked that dark thread into his tapistry - no flunk wonder Little Orphan Ani goes to the dark side. To me, that's a wasted opportunity for Oscar Gold.

You realize that you ruined The Star Wars movies forever, right?

Or... did you make them better?

I always wanted to know what the Jawa and Sand People looked like under their robes and bandages.

I'd have to say I'm with Irish Fist on this one. If you had a better idea for what happened to Anikin's Mother then you could see why he went bat crap crazy and went to the dark side for 20 some odd years. Plus as Vader, why couldn't he use Force Lightning like all other Sith out there? Even in some of the video games other part mechanical Sith could use this tool. All he seemed good at was strangling folks that disagreed with him and grabbing an object with the force and chuck it at someone.
As far as a Sith Lord goes Vader seemed puny in ability. All he had going for him was his intimidation factor that his mask and mechanical body provided.

Another thing that bugs... If nobody in the past took JarJar Binks seriously, why did they take him seriously in the Senate. All the other Senators would have had information on him like they had on each other. So, they would have known that he was a complete water head and would have shot his proposal down when he announced giving emergency powers to Palpatine. I mean, politicians are the same no matter where one goes in the universe.

Just some thoughts.

Cheers!

Actually, Vader was more powerful than Yoda. (George Lucas revealed that fact, himself.) In fact, of all the Jedis and Siths, he was the most powerful one of all. This is why he was the "Chosen One" in the Ancient Jedi prophecy.

There's a few storylines in the comics where Lord Vader went completely berserk, and singlehandely destroyed an army. (And yes, it was confirmed by Lucasfilm that he is THAT powerful, so I wouldn't call him, "Puny".)

Keep in mind too, that during the Jedi purge from "Order 66", he hunted & killed whole groups of Jedi Knights long before Luke Skywalker grew up in Tatooine.

His helmet & armor is also blaster proof. (And light saber proof to a limited extent.)

It was explained by George Lucas that Vader couldn't use "Force Lightning" due to his mechanical arms, but he could deflect them easily. (He just couldn't use them.)

The video games however, would completely ignore Lucas's rule, and they would show Siths with mechanical arms being able to use "Force Lightning". (But then, I don't really count the video games as "canon" in any way to the movies.)

In the video games like "Force Unleashed", Vader's apprentice, "Starkiller" was given ridiculous super godlike powers, instead of Sith powers. (Which was very contradictory to the movies.) "Starkiller" could crush a Imperial Star Destroyer with one easy swipe of his hand, he could destroy an entire Imperial army, (Including full size Imperial Walkers) with a single easy push of his hand, kill several giant bull Rancors in a matter of seconds with a single lightsaber, and he could destroy an entire city with one easy push of his hand. (Not even the Avengers or Superman is THAT powerful.)

I'm surprised that the video game designers didn't make "Starkiller" with the power to be able to destroy a planet with a single snap of his fingers.

If their apprentice is as powerful as a god, why would Emperor Palpatine, and Lord Vader even need a Death Star or an Imperial army & space fleet? (With those kind of ridiculous godlike powers, "Starkiller" could have destroyed the Death Star, the combined Imperial fleet & Rebel fleet with one swipe of his hand.)

Personally, I think the video game designers went way overboard on "the Force Unleashed" game. (This means that the stuff that you see in the video games are not, and should not, be really be considered as "canon" in the Star Wars universe.)

I don't know about that. I've seen politicians in office on our own planet who say & do even dumber things than Jar Jar Binks. In fact, some of them would even make Jar Jar Binks look like a super genius.

Did Luke ever get past first base with his sister before he found out they were siblings?

Nope. And that's been confirmed by George Lucas.

And he has repeatedly said that Star Wars is not THAT kind of movie.

With all of the re-editing of the originals, I always wondered why Lucas did not fix Lukes lightsaber in ANH. It always looked out of place even compared to Vader and Kenobi in their duel in the same movie. Also, the way the prequels unfolded, it looks like Lucas did not go back and read what Kenobi told Luke in ROTJ. The two stories don't exactly match.

Well, just like any large epic work of fiction that involves many books or story lines, there lay certain contradictions and inconsistencies.

One odd point for me was Mace Windu. He just didn't seem to quite fit the puzzle for me. I know Samuel Jackson is a great actor and all plus he adds a cool factor, but all I got was a Pulp Fiction vibe from his character. But maybe that's just me because I like Pulp Fiction and relate that character here.

Another thing that sort of bugs, why didn't Vader recall R2-D2 and C3-PO? Was he that bat crap crazy that he forgot about them? After all he was C3-PO's creator. And another thing, the Sith run off of emotion. Not just hate and anger, but all emotions. Vader used to get a thrill out of just racing at high speeds. Were all those emotions sucked out of his skull when he became such a sour puss? You would think there was just a little thrill seeker left in him that would want to sneak off and have some fun from time to time, instead of being mister on the job 24/7. Of course by ROTJ he seemed pretty beat down and conflicted, I think a speeder bike would have lifted his spirits. I mean, as a kid and then as a Jedi he was sneaking off and finding thrills in even what he had to be doing. If he could defy small orders from Obi Wan, he could do it from the Emperor too. Just a thought.

Cheers!

How come George Lucas won't allow people (like me) to make their own "Knights Of The Old Republic?"

How come my scripts come back unread?
