my MBA shirt "copy"

Postby Doctor_Jones » Fri Jul 01, 2011 9:54 pm

a few years ago I asked a tailor to copy my Noël Howard MBA LC shirt. I asked for two so I have a total of three Indiana Jones style shirts which I wear quite a lot. The copies are, in my opinion, very very well made. The only thing "wrong" on them are the buttons. Wanted to have them changed for years but never came to it but I got used to them, the feel, the material. And I guess I kinda like the way they look.
I'm thinking of getting other copies made of the original MBA shirt I have. I should ask my tailor if they can make different sizes aswell. As I have the XXL size, I wonder if they could size it down to XL, L, M and even S. Don't know much about it really.
The thing is, my tailor lives in the Philippines and I'm not planning heading that way in the near future but my mum and dad will spend their vacation there ( a massive 6 months!!!) so I can ask them to have more copies made. Oh well, enough talk from me. I'll show you some pictures I took today:

the MBA one is on the right. notice the buttons on the copy. need to change them although I quite like the feel of them.

Those are pretty accurate looking shirts. It is easy to find the "Safari/military" style shirts but damn hard to find any with the extra stitching that extends over both pockets. In any case good looking shirts!

maybe I should try and let them produce a lot and maybe try to sell them to the public ( and do something about those buttons ofcourse). would there be a lot of people interested in this shirt, you think? As there are other vendors out there who are doing a great job. maybe i should ask this question on COW aswell.

What is the difference between an MBA with MIS specialization and an MBA with ITM specialization? I've noticed that some universities offer an MBA with Management Information Systems specialization and others offer an MBA with Information Technology Management specialization. But, what's the difference in the MIS versus ITM curriculum? Are there different careers best suited to each?

I believe it is the difference in the way the shirt fits over your blork.....

You certainly wouldn't want to have a tight fitting blork while speicalizing MIS concatenated with ITM..

I hope this helps you OUT pooleema

I'm not sure if this means the spammers are getting smarter, or dumber.

Maybe the word "Shirt" means something totally different in Urdu?

Or maybe the "shirt" has hit the proverbial fan?

Cheers!

as the battery of my camera is dead I had to take this with my crappy phone instead. My copies of my Noel Howard/MBA shirt have arrived. and I'm pretty pleased with them. don't know what the fabric had cost. will know that in a couple of weeks when my mother returns home from 5 months abroad. I only know how much the tailor in the Philippines had asked to copy them. they were about 5 euro per shirt. not bad, not bad at all. sorry for the crappy pics, will get some better ones as soon as I'm able. the left one is the MBA, the right one is the new copy.

DJ, The copy looks every bit as good as the MBA. Does the fabric feel the same?
