Amazing how well the prints hold up. And how sharp and vibrant they were, considering this was all in the '40s.

Would you look at the detail and definition there? I can't even get close to that, and my camera's a good six decades newer. Gah. Progress, my ass.
Get it together? Lady, last time my people got it together it took most of Robert E. Lee's backyard to bury the evidence.

I can't believe those photos are nearly seventy years old. Too bad the maker of that particular film is now out of business.

Those don't even look real!

Great find Aero! And yes, it's sad news that Kodak is no longer in the camera business... :(

"Be always drunken. Nothing else matters: that is the only question. If you would not feel the horrible burden of Time weighing on your shoulders and crushing you to the earth, be drunken continually. Drunken with what? With wine, with poetry, or with virtues, as you will. But be drunk.. ask what hour it is.. 'It is the hour to be drunken! Be drunken, if you would not be martyred slaves of Time; be drunken continually! With wine, with poetry, or with virtue, as you will.' "

Great link. The pics look as crisp as anything I have seen from modern digital shots.

Incredibly good quality pics!
