These are the things nearly make Raoul weep.

Well-er-ah, SOG forgot to mention it was a latte he took from an MS-13 enforcer at gunpoint!

Well, at least that's what he told Raoul. :)

Actually Raoul introduced me to Lattes in Spain after coming back from Somalia and I don't believe I mentioned anything about Lawrence Welk or kitties et al.

One of the things I learned best from Raoul is a man needs to take pleasure in between missions to be able to survive and keep ones wit sharpened to a razor's edge....

Oh and a nice Cognac following a latte isn't too bad either......

I'm fighting the flu this week and I just took a Theriflu and I'm waiting for it to hit.

OK, here is kindly old "Doc" Pilot's flu remedy:

Take one cup of strong lemonade and heat gently till hot and pour into a mug. Do not boil.
Add one ounce of ginger flavored brandy.
Dust the top of the drink with nutmeg and stir with a cinnamon stick.
Drink.

Repeat until you feel better or no longer care that you feel so bad.

Well it will work without the brandy but it will take longer before you feel better, um, say a week to ten days. :)

How about just seeing a REAL doc, preferably one that does not have a stuffed owl hanging in front of his office and if you do that within the first 48 hours or so he will give you Tamiflu and you will feel 80% better within hours.

HEY! For your information I am the finest doctor practicing East of the Mississippi, unburdened by license and unencumbered by a medical education. I also have the benefit of not being negatively affected by Obamacare and my patients will find that I will still work in exchange for chickens, ammo, and stick time in interesting aircraft. :)

I was suffering with this cold for a whole week with no signs of getting better until I worked out in the gym and worked until I built up a lot of sweat and sore muscles. This morning I feel tons better. Coincidence? I think not...

I've noticed a similar effect when I've been ill for a while and decide to get up and get some exercise. I don't know if the effect is physiological or psychological but either way I do feel better, more human.

Right now I'm just settling in and catching up on some emails while grazing on some healthy chili my wife made.
