You know I would have to agree. As much as I love Eddie Bauer stuff, they did fall a bit short on the Journeyman jacket. It has some nice lines and the half belted back is a nice touch but that is all just visuals. When I first saw this one on line I thought it may be a new purchase for me but when I saw it in the store I had the same disappointment. Made in China and it shows with the quality of the leather. Too thin to be of any warmth and I couldn't justify the price tag either. I'd rather pay that for something in their First Ascent line-up that I know will keep me warm and protected in the months to come, be it out on the town or out in the field. It's a shame too as it visually is a nice looking jacket, and Eddie Bauer stuff is usually better than this, but not for three-hundred clams.
Maybe when it goes on clearance I might revisit this one.
