This is no reflection on you, the fabric looks like crap and you've been robbed. If you can get your money back, do so.

Society went to hell when men stopped wearing hats:

Update: I decided to keep the hat. After wearing it around the house and yard for a couple days (it's too hot this time of year to wear it anywhere else), I decided it doesn't look so bad AND it didn't set me back much financially.

The only thing that matters is that you like it. Anything else is just bunk.

I get the last image you posted. Australian full to the brim sort of treatment, not a Fedora treatment. It sounds too much, you may think you covered like a Robert tee to wear advertising.

Got a question and instead of posting a new thread I thought I would ask here. I am about to pull the trigger on a new lid and am stuck on if I should go beaver or rabbit felt. I understand the pros and cons and have asked for some insight by John especially because I will get it from him. Here is the delimma; I do not own a lot of lids so this hat will be less than an everyday hat but I do not plan on having it just sit for special occasions, still I will leave the dirty work to my AB Henry. What I am worried about is how much of a difference I will notice in the southern summer heat with a beaver lid. Any insight would be helpfull.

I had that same question a few years ago when I began to buy my first Fedoras..

I went with rabbit and thought everything was fine until I got my first beaver hat.......

There is a world of difference between the two . For the extra bit of money my humble opinion is to buy beaver.

I am sure you will get a lot more responses on this that will help you make up your mind..

No too worried about the extra coin on beaver, I just worry about how much more it will bake my noggin in the summer. The AB Henry is a rabbit/beaver blend and I wear it in the dead of summer, I sweat a lot, don't get me wrong, but like I said I do just about everything in that hat.
