Are you a Mason?

Here we will strive to discuss and understand the ancient and honorable society known as the Freemasons.

I remind my bretheren that this is an open and public table on the Electric Speakeasy Forum and all discourse should be carefully measured before posting.

Here is the link to my lodge's site. It is full of information that would be useful to a Brother or to a man considering a petition into the Fraternity: http://www.matawanlodge.org/index.htm

We are planning on a trip to St. Peters, Canada sometime this year to visit a friend. I did a bit of research and found this Lodge that I'd like to visit while there. If I go, I'll be sure to take pics. http://www.lodge284.com/

Hiya Friends,

Many know this already but yes, I am a Mason. Wyndham Lodge #688.

I've been away from Masonry for about a year (Physically only, for I shall always be a Mason in my heart) but I do plan to get back into it soon. In the meantime I keep current with my dues and keep in touch with my Mother Lodge, but I cannot find the time to commit to a Lodge here in Edmonton. Soon, though, I will.

Cheers

Brother Craig, would be a pleasure to have you visit Matawan Lodge #192 someday. Be sure to reach out if you are ever in the New York/New Jersey area.

Brother Doug,

It would be a pleasure to visit! Its one of my favorite things about Masonry. No matter where you go you have a friend, and they are usually easy to spot, either through a bumper sticker or a lapel pin!

Not sure if anyone's seen the remake of True Grit yet, but Masonry get's a nice nod in it at the beginning. I recommend it for all the other reasons a film gets recommended too!

Regards
Craig

The first thursday of March. Our meetings are typically on the First Thursday with an occasional extra one thrown in on the third thursday.
I wish I would have remembered.. I would have posted something here about our Robert Burn's Night in January.

The Eastern Star chapter in our lodge (chapter #123) held their annual Master Mason Night last night. A good handful of MMs from our lodge were there along with a few from other lodges in the district. The ladies of the ES had some short presentations honoring the MMs in attendance and then a light dinner afterwards. I was also sworn in so now I can attend their meetings if I so choose.

In reference to the recent events in Japan, my lodge is trying to put together a plan as to how we can help out our Japanese bretheren and all others affected by the earthquake/tsunami/looming nuclear disaster. If anyone would like to get involved with our efforts, post your ideas here and I'll let you know what we can do at our lodge.

Litterally just handed my petition, 15 minutes ago, to a co-worker whom I approached last week. I sincearly hope that the Brothers of Lodge 104 will see fit to admit me as a member, it is something I have wanted to do for years.
