This is it...the place to post scary stories, pics of your costume, party ideas, favorite Halloween decorations and pics of your carved pumpkins! What scary movie gets you in the mood for the holiday? What music inspires your inner ghoul?

It's not quite a scary movie, but the old Disney feature of Sleepy Hollow with it's music gets me started on the holiday. We used to watch it as kids at school. They would gather us in the cafeteria to watch it with the old school movie projector. It's a wonderful childhood memory I like to view each year.
Of course I do have to break out Nightmare Before Christmas a well. :D

Cheers!

Every Halloween my wife and I watch our favorite horror movies, both of which star Vincent Price. Hers is THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM while mine is HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL. One of my new Halloween favorites is Tim Burton's SLEEPY HOLLOW starring Johnny Depp. The best Hammer horror film not made by Hammer.

I have a patch of woods behind my house that I love to walk in the middle of the night - but there's something extra spooky in the late autumn. There's something about this time of year that makes me think of all the spirits who have passed beyond into the next realm that come through this brief window and just watch...

... us.

And it even has Christopher Lee, King of the Hammer Films. :D

Not sure what I'll be doing this Hallowe'en. Last year, I wore my wool Jaxon c-crown, a tweed sport coat (which is too big for me now) with a dress shirt and tie, slacks, and went out looking pretty much like a costume-interpretation of the 1940s. This year, I may do a "pseudo-Indiana Jones," loosely looking like him wearing my G-1 jacket, brown Federation IV (which actually is a teardrop now, not a center dent), khaki chinos, and brown leather shoes. As an alternative, I can do an aviator-esque look without wearing the fedora, simply pairing the jacket with khakis, a white dress shirt, dark tie, and so on. Then again... how is any of this a costume? I dress like this frequently enough to the point that it really isn't, heh.

I've always wanted to go as a werewolf. I may still try to pull something off.

I am going to make a duct tape body double to dress up for the porch. http://www.indymogul.com/episode/BFX_20070917

Once again my ex is coming to town for Halloween and once again she has indicated that in the past I've been Indiana Jones, Rick O'Connell, and The Rocketeer a few too many times. So I've decided to go as a Dieselpunk aviator. That way I can use parts of my other costumes.

My ex is going as either Amelia Earhart or a naughty schoolgirl. Either one is typecasting since she is always lost and, well, nevermind.

The lady and I will be going to a DC Comics Super Heroes party. I'll be Superboy while she'll be Phantom Girl. We're also kicking off our Halloween movies. We've watched Nightmare Before Christmas, think Sleepy Hollow will have to be next.

"Be always drunken. Nothing else matters: that is the only question. If you would not feel the horrible burden of Time weighing on your shoulders and crushing you to the earth, be drunken continually. Drunken with what? With wine, with poetry, or with virtues, as you will. But be drunk.. ask what hour it is.. 'It is the hour to be drunken! Be drunken, if you would not be martyred slaves of Time; be drunken continually! With wine, with poetry, or with virtue, as you will.' "

We'll definitely need pics Henri!

What are the odds that my ex would be one of triplets, and she never told me?
