TRS-80 Question

How about a table where people can talk about the technology we use to keep in touch with other retrocentrics and vintage aficionados? From Blackberry's to WiFi, to the latest desk or laptops to breathing new life to old CPU's using Fedora Open Source...

TRS-80 Question

Postby Irish Fist » Wed Aug 11, 2010 2:40 am

There's an old TRS-80 from the early 80's that just won't die. I'm wondering what it would take to get it to work as an internet browser for my mother. She insists on keeping this and trying to get some more use out it.

You mean there are some still in use. "That thing belongs in a Museum!" I think your mom is SOL on the internet usage. I don't thing it has enough graphic capability for even simple photographs in this day & age, & I don't think there are any replacement parts available. Sorry, but that fossil won't cut it, heck even the one computer I built seven years ago wouldn't be able to hack it today.

Cheers!
