Mad Men on AMC

Postby DanielJones » Mon Aug 30, 2010 3:39 pm

I had caught this one in the beginning but had to drop it since we had other shows to watch and catch up on and life was too full at the time. Thus I never picked it back up.
Has it gotten better over the seasons or has it stagnated? Will it still hold the interest? I was wondering if it was worth dropping in on again.

Waldorf Stories is the latest episode and I watched it this after noon.

I love this show, but I hate what the characters are doing to themselves and each other. It's a great watch.

Although we are getting series 4 starting next week here in the UK, I have just began with series one which they are showing twice a week on another channel. I am enjoying it and can't quite remember why I didn't watch it when it first came out. Eventually I'll catch up.

It's one of those shows where they telegraph what horrible thing is going to happen to these characters, and then they slowly unravel the plot. It's like a car wreck, you can't help but watch, especially when it's people you've grown to like.

I have heard about the show but have never seen it. Looks interesting though.

A little side note- a girl I know who went on be an actress had an appearance on this show as a waitress named Doris who one of the main characters picks up for a one-nighter.

Her name is Becky Wahlstrom, and she got her start by acting in my own first few movies, amusingly.

Now that is a cool little side note. Small world, huh?
