Hello guys

Just wanted to share with you this link: http://silvereagle-bandofbrothers.blogspot.com/
It's of a new book which is in the works about Band of Brothers veteran Clancy Lyall. BOB was made famous by the HBO mini-series of Hanks and Spielberg and the book written by Stephen Ambrose in the early 90s.
Clancy and myself have been working on this for a while now and we hope to finish it soon and send it to the publishers. It will be my first book and I'm gratefull to Clancy and his wife Liz for giving me this opportunity of a lifetime. I'm proud to call them my friends.

DJ, I don't think you could have a better instructor on the M1. How many people can say that they qualified on the M1 with a member of Easy Company?

I had 8 bullets. Missed 7 times but hit the target once and that with the last bullet. He gave me advice with one bullet left to go. And after his advice I shot the target! Not bad for a rookie! lol

Just wanted you guys to know I'm in the final stage of writing the book. I think a couple more days of hard work and it will be done. Then I'll be sending it off to Clancy for a read and when he gives the all clear, I can send it out to the interested publishers. Then the waiting game begins. I will post updates on that on my blog when all this is done. The interviews are almost written out and then I'll start editing the stuff. I promissed Clancy to send it to him before the 30th of this month. Exciting stuff, ain't it?

Looking forward to the book. I met a few members of Eco while I was stationed at ft. Campbell back in the early 90s. They had come out for Week of the Eagles and hearing their stories made me proud to wear the "pukin' buzzard" on my shoulder.

Be sure to give us the ISBN so we can order it! 8)

the completed manuscript has been sent out yesterday ( on the eve of the 67th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge) to a couple of international publishers who showed interest in the subject. now the waiting game begins and lets hope one of them wants it. would love to have it published in early 2012, the latest on the 68th anniversary of the D-Day Landings.
don't care if they pay a lot, the only important thing is that the story is told and that people will never forget what young men and women went through during those horrible years of war. Lest we forget...
