Well, we ended up leaving not due to safety but due to comfort. Our electric company told us that our power was being turned off for two days as their facilities was being evacuated. Not wanting to deal with that, my Aunt in New Hope, PA was nice enough to offer us a place to stay. The funny part is when we got home, it seems as though New Hope got it worse than us. No damage to speak of and all is well.

But you are right, non spoiling food and lots of water is what you want....


When I lived in Buffalo NY this sort of buying always occurred just before the first storm of the season. You'd think they'd get used to it by now but it still happens.
