Indy hat spotted on TV?

Postby squidkidd » Wed Aug 17, 2011 12:37 am

Was watching the show 'Leverage' on TNT this past Sunday when I caught a glimpse of a character in what appears to me to be a VERY Indy-esque hat. Would love to know the maker and where the costumers picked it up......here are a couple screen-grabs:

So what do you guys think? Looks kinda LC/Raiders/YIJ hybridy to me.

I would watch that show every week just to see guys wearing great fedoras. What more can you tell us about that episode?

I can tell you with 100% certainty that John Penman made that hat. I can't remember if the costume designer picked it up personally from John or if he delivered it to her in person. Congrats John !

Yep, looks like John has been outed. Looks pretty good. Not as bas as he described to me. Shame on you John, thinking your hat wouldn't look good on screen. :D Good job. I hope that this will get the attention of Spielberg & Ford and you'll get the next IJ film (if they ever make one more).

Cheers!

Well, congratulations Mr. Penman. The lid looks great.

FYI...Caught a couple of episodes last night on demand. It is a good show and the part of the episode in question was very fitting for John's lid.

Now if John can get some fedoras on "Mad Men." Not only because he's one of our guys, but I really hat the stingy brim/tapered crown melon toppers from that era.
