Here are some better shots of the Casablanca - JP has made me a super hat.

I actually kinda liked the Easter Bunny in the photo. :D

I love the stitching on the under welt edge! It makes me wish I had gotten that on my Casablanca.

David, I'm so glad your happy with it. Ever hat that includes the welted edge or bound edge is sewn with needle and thread (all by hand) no sewing machine ever is used in the production of me making a hat.

That's a beautiful hat, David. What's the brim width on it?

John - thanks; the quality of your work is First Class!

Blackthorn - the brim is about 2 3/8.
Cheers!

Great looking lid David. It photographs well. John does some top shelf work for sure.

Cheers!

Thanks, Dan

I've really liked John's work for ages and this hat was actually a gift from my wife for our anniversary last year. I'm hoping she makes it an annual tradition :D
Cheers!

I oredered my new Penman last week. It's going to be a very long five months, but worth every day's wait. Should be a good upgrade from my Poet.

Eric,

Nothing very photogenic, I'm afraid. I lost my Poet on during a long night out after a rugby game in Paris, someone took it off my head and I never saw it again. I've got a Stetson that I left on the family farm in Nebraska when I moved to the UK in the 90's, the English just don't get a good Stetson! Here in the UK I've got a Christy's Safari, a good newish fedora style panama that I'm still breaking in, and an old battered fedora panama that has been all around Europe and parts of Africa (it's an old traveling companion that just fits perfectly, so I can't get rid of it). Will try to gets some photos if you wish, but they probably won't impress you.

Welcome Jerry 9. Five months passes a lot faster than you think. With that said, I still can't wait to see what you get. :D Of course, seeing as I live so close to John I could see it before you, but I would still be waiting five months.

Cheers!

Just "pulled the trigger" on new Penman the other night. Looking forward to it.
