Spiderman looks like a Star Wars stormtrooper.

Hahah, now that you mention it, the new costumes do look a little "Empire-ish".

I think it's much too soon for a Spiderman "reboot." I personally saw the 2000s as being sort of a decade of superhero reboots in general, but I was hoping that this decade would see the characters retain their established features, rather than wiping the slate clean and starting fresh. Maybe there will be another Batman reboot in ten to fifteen years...

Yeah, I just can't picture her as Aunt May, especially when you still see her as the Flying Nun. :o

Ah but Gwen was Peter's love before MJ. I like that they are starting with her.

Yes, I understand that. But they were both there, along with Harry, (MJ's boyfriend) who was just plain ol' Harry before his dad got offed and he took his place as GG. Maybe the producers feel that two girls is redundant for the story they will be telling.

I just wonder if they are going to give her the traditional Aunt May look or will she be maintaining her dark tresses?

Okay now, I want to know something. If this movie is supposed to be set during the high school years, how the heck does Peter Parker get the high-tech, fancy, fabric for his suit? And how does sew such a complex suit? Is he a professional tailor? That suit is ridiculous for a 16 year old high school student! If he had the resources of say, the Fantastic Four, it would be a different matter. But that suit is simply silly for Peter Parker in this stage of his life.

Well, the comics explained it away as Peter Parker being a genius. The fabric his costume is made from is actually cotton coated with some chemicals he concocted. That 'explanation' was what they came up with in the 60's so ... yeah.

An it looks like he will be using his mechanical web slingers instead of some mutation in the wrist.

I'm actually glad to see that. I didn't like the mutation thing. If it was a mutation, the web would coming out of his backside, not his wrists!
