The Cousineau Report: “The Obama - ACORN Census Connection: Benign or malignant?”

When Bush was President, one of the things that drove me crazy was that the left never gave the guy a break. From November of 2000 when Al Gore disputed the results of the election up until, well today, George W Bush has been vilified and reviled for no other reason than because he's George W Bush.

Moveon.org was named that out of the frustration on the left about the right's inability to let go of Clinton yet they're doing the same thing - and worse -to George Bush. Because of that, I swore I would give Barak Obama a chance. I promised myself I wouldn't say anything for the first six months he was in office. Then I received a link today to an article. Clicking on it, I read this:

Obama and ACORN GPS Marking EVERY Front Door in America?

By JB Williams Wednesday, April 29, 2009

Republican Senator Judd Gregg was Obama’s first choice for the Secretary of Commerce post, and Gregg was actually considering joining the Obama team, until he found out that control of the US Census was being stripped from the Commerce Department and placed under the direct control of White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel.

Then, the same week that Americans learned that they were “domestic terrorists”—at least according to Obama’s new DHS (Department of Homeland Security),—if they own a bible, a pocket Constitution or guns, and still believe in Life, Liberty and Freedom, - they also learned that Obama’s Census Bureau had hired thousands of new temporary employees, equipped each with a handheld GPS computer and sent them out to mark GPS coordinates for every residential front door in America.

Oddly, it was this same period that news was breaking of an international flu pandemic, suspected of being a weaponized strain of the virus never before seen, - and that Obama’s team still sees no need to close the US-Mexican border, despite the cross continental spread of a deadly illness now claiming American lives.

Now, if any one of these events happened alone, one might not get too excited. But when a string of such events happen all at once, one begins to question the string of freedom and life threatening coincidences…

I can’t resist the urge to question the authority and purpose behind such a BIG BROTHER initiative, when the official Census itself is not due to be taken until 2010…

No imagination is required to think up a whole laundry list of evil that could be done with a nationwide GPS grid of coordinate’s markers painted on every private home across the country. But I was having trouble thinking up one good reason for it, even one legitimate use that would justify what must be a very expensive undertaking.

Then I wondered why in the world would ACORN be involved in the Census? Why hadn't I heard about it? Then I realized the only 24 hour news channel to cover it was Fox. Yes, I had to look it up. Surely the print media would have some coverage. The only one I found was the Washington Times. I'd like to point out that the announcement that ACORN would be 'assisting' the census came during the hight of the AIG bonuses hysteria.

What about that flak about getting the GPS co-ordinates? I never heard anything about that. Surely that must be some sort of a tinfoil hat crackpot idea. Nope. NPR has reported on it. Check the date on that article: reported in July of 2006. In the NPR article, it's just creepy but when you add in that ACORN and the White House are now controlling the census, it starts to make the small hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Do these sound familiar?
"Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.

Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people. The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”

Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. When Alinsky leaked word that large numbers of poor people were going to tie up the washrooms of O’Hare Airport, Chicago city authorities quickly agreed to act on a longstanding commitment to a ghetto organization. They imagined the mayhem as thousands of passengers poured off airplanes to discover every washroom occupied. Then they imagined the international embarrassment and the damage to the city’s reputation.

Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame."

This is Obama's playbook. It is called Rules for Radicals and it was written by Saul Alinsky in 1971 for community organizers (our President's only claim of prior leadership experience). Read rule 9 on that list and think about the Mexican Swine Flu.

President Barak Obama is a socialist with communist inclinations. He is using these rules in his administration to bring us down the road that failed Germany in the 1930s. Obama himself is no Hitler - I think he genuinely wants to do what he thinks is best for the country and that is a system of total enforced equality. I think he's also a very bad judge of character and the people around him have their own agendas that he's either unaware of or doesn't care about so long as they don't interfere with his own agenda. What scares me the most is that the media is not reporting any of this while the stage is being set for another madman to come to power and do to us and the world what Hitler did in my grandfather's generation.

The President's cabinet still has not been selected, yet he's appointed Czars into positions the duplicate much of his cabinet. Czars do not require political vetting through Congress. Since Congress is in firm control of his party, what's he afraid of? He's expanded the powers of the White House far beyond anything his party criticized former President Bush for doing. He's seized control of the Census. His party and statements are demonizing the very concepts of freedom and liberty. To him, his party and more importantly his Attorney General, anyone who owns a gun should be considered a criminal waiting to be caught and anyone with a bible and a gun is a terrorist.

I've held off on passing judgment on the President or his policies. I really wanted to give him nine months. But at this stage I feel I have no other option than to state that President Obama's policies must fail. The US needs to wake up. We need to take action before all power has been removed from us in this nation "of the people, by the people and for the people." That article I posted has links to Congress and the Census Bureau including how to contact them. I've already contacted them. I challenge you to do so.
